Y Group started in a small fabrication shop with one obsession: equipment that does not fail at height. Three decades later, the obsession has not changed, only the scale has.
OUR STORY
Y Group was founded in 2011, bringing the Youngman access equipment legacy, established in the UK in 1926, to India. We took a century of engineering knowledge and built it into India's first organised, standards-led work-at-height platform, closing the gap between rapid industrial growth and the outdated methods still putting workers at risk. What began as a single rental operation has evolved into Y Group with Y-Access Manufacturing producing EN-certified equipment, Y Equipment Services operating India's widest rental network across 24+ locations, and a 300-strong team united by one purpose: zero accidents at height.
That purpose drives everything we do. Every product we engineer, every scaffold we erect, and every crew we train exists to ensure that the people building India’s future return home safe, every single day.

The Origin
WC Youngman was founded in UK, establishing the foundation of what would become a global access equipment legacy spanning nearly a century.
Youngman India Founded
Youngman India was founded, bringing world-class access equipment manufacturing and safety standards to the Indian industrial market.
Rental Model Launched
Youngman India introduced the rental model, pivoting the business from trading to renting, creating India's first organized equipment rental service for access solutions.
Y-Access Manufacturing
Y-Access Manufacturing was established, building India's own production capability for aluminium towers, FRP scaffolds, and industrial ladders at our Greater Noida facility.
500% Fleet Growth
Youngman India achieved over 500% growth in the rental fleet, expanding from a handful of depots to a nationwide network serving India's largest industrial projects.
Product Range Expansion
Youngman India updated their product offerings, introducing new lines including Industrial Deck, Lifto material lifts, Megastep FRP ladders, and Warehouse platforms.
Automated Manufacturing
Youngman India invested in state-of-the-art automated machinery, CMT robotic welding, CNC cutting, and precision assembly systems for 100% manufacturing consistency.
Y Group Ecosystem
Job Safety First founded as part of Y Group in 2021. Y Mesh & Metals established for wire mesh manufacturing. The group ecosystem expanded with dedicated safety training and new verticals.
Rebrand to Y Group
Youngman India rebranded to Y-Access Manufacturing Pvt Ltd., a new identity reflecting our evolution from a single-product company to a complete industrial solutions group.
